I didn't follow the call of the unusual high school teenagers way back in the dark ages. While other girls were trying to get home to see General Hospital I was trying to get lunches off campus so I would get home for a quick lunch and an episode of the Twilight Zone.Last week I saw someone post their top ten episodes as the ultimate in top ten list and I didn't agree at all. Mine would be:
- Game of Pool
- Deaths-Head Revisited
- The Last Flight
- The 7th is Made of Phantoms
- The Changing of the Guard
- Long Distance Call
- Ring-a-Ding Girl
- The Passersby
- A Stop at Willoughby
- A Passage for Trumpets

What? "To Serve Man" isn't on your list? Or the one where the state declares the librarian obsolete? Those two always make the SyFy Twilight Zone marathon.
ReplyDeleteMy personal fave is the one with Burgess Meredith, the poor put-upon clerk who just wants time to read — but when the bomb goes off and he gets all the time in the world to read — and all the books he could possibly want — he breaks his glasses.
The one I hate is the one with that bratty kid, Anthony, who everyone has to cater to just so he doesn't get mad and hurt someone with his mind.
I had someone over just yesterday "Oh, I love the one where the glasses get broken ..." and I just cringe thinking about it!! And yeah "It's a coooookbooooook" would come up soon on my top fifteen!!
